How it works
Find your code
Open the app and go to Settings, then the Refer a friend card. You can copy the code, or a ready-made message that includes it.
Your friend uses it at checkout
Entering the code on the payment page takes AU$5 off their purchase on the spot.
You earn AU$5 per referred purchase
A referral confirms 30 days after the purchase, provided it has not been refunded. Once 3 referrals have confirmed, AU$15 is ready to claim from the same Settings card, and extra confirmed referrals carry over toward the next AU$15.

EachPayday is AU$29.99 at the launch price. Six confirmed referrals is AU$30 back, so recommending it to six people covers what you paid.
Capped at 20 a year, and we say so
Rewards stop at 20 referred purchases per rolling year, which makes the most you can earn AU$100 a year. This is a thank-you for a genuine recommendation, not a side hustle, and we would rather tell you that upfront.

Claims are paid AU$15 at a time to your PayPal or as an Australian digital gift card, normally within 7 days. We never ask for your bank account details.

Do I need to buy EachPayday to refer?
Yes. Every EachPayday licence includes a referral code, and there is no separate sign-up: buy the app once (AU$29.99 launch price) and your code is waiting on the Refer a friend card in Settings.
How much can I earn from the referral program?
AU$5 for every referred purchase that confirms, paid AU$15 at a time once 3 have confirmed. Rewards are capped at 20 referred purchases per rolling year, so the most you can earn is AU$100 a year. Six confirmed referrals covers the price of the app.
When does a referral confirm?
30 days after the purchase it came from, as long as that purchase has not been refunded or charged back. A refund or chargeback cancels that referral's reward.
How does my friend use my code?
They enter it on the checkout page and AU$5 comes off their purchase on the spot. One code per purchase, and it cannot be combined with other discounts.
How are payouts made?
You claim from the Refer a friend card in Settings and choose PayPal or an Australian digital gift card. Payouts are sent by hand, normally within 7 days of a claim. We never ask for bank account details.
Can I post my code on coupon or deals sites?
No. Codes are for personal sharing. Posting codes to coupon or deals sites counts as abuse under the program terms and can lead to the code being cancelled.

1. Eligibility
Any activated EachPayday licence holder can refer. There is no sign-up; the code exists on every licence, and the Settings card simply shows it. You do not need to have bought at full price, and beta licences count.
2. The friend-side discount
A referral code gives AU$5 off an EachPayday purchase at checkout. One code per purchase, and referral codes cannot be combined with other promotional codes or discounts unless we expressly allow it. The discount is applied by our payment provider on the checkout page, and GST is calculated on the discounted price.
3. When a referral counts
A referral is confirmed 30 days after the purchase it came from, as long as that purchase has not been refunded or charged back. A refund or chargeback cancels that referral's reward. A reward that has already been paid out is not clawed back.
4. Payouts
Rewards are paid AU$15 at a time, once 3 referrals have confirmed; anything beyond a multiple of 3 carries over. You claim from the Settings card and choose PayPal or an Australian digital gift card. Payouts are sent by hand, normally within 7 days of a claim. We never ask for bank account details.
5. Caps and fair use
Rewards are capped at 20 referred purchases per referrer per rolling year; codes also carry a redemption cap at checkout. Codes are for personal sharing. We may cancel a code or withhold a reward where doing so is reasonably connected with suspected abuse, meaning any of the following: self-referral, fraudulent transactions, purchases that are refunded or charged back, codes posted to coupon or deals sites, automated or bulk use, attempts to get around the yearly cap, or a material breach of these rules. We act only after reasonable investigation, and acting on suspected abuse does not affect rewards already earned on genuine referrals.
6. Changes to the program
We may change or end the referral program at any time. Rewards already earned will be honoured. Once a qualifying referred purchase has occurred, its reward remains payable provided the purchase goes on to satisfy the confirmation conditions in section 3, even if the program is closed in the meantime.

8. Privacy
When a code is used on a purchase we record which licence's code it was, so the reward can be tracked and reversed on refund; if you claim a payout we collect the payout details you give us to send it. The privacy policy has the detail.
